Due to the Model X’s immense size, this is crazier than what the Model S Plaid can achieve. According to Tesla, the Model X Plaid will finish the quarter-mile run in 9.9 seconds, which is incredibly fast for any vehicle. But that’s what distinguishes it as one of the top EV SUVs on the market.
The 1,020 horsepower that powers these two outrageous vehicles is the legendary figure that enables all of these ludicrous metrics. Does The Plaid Upgrade Worth It?
There is no doubt that the Plaid update is worthwhile. The Plaid upgrade for the Model S costs $31,000 from Tesla. However, for an additional $18,000, you may upgrade the Model X to Plaid status. To begin with, the Model X costs more than the Model S.
But getting the Plaid update is a good idea if you’re considering purchasing a Model X. It is more difficult to justify spending an additional $31,000 for the Model S Plaid. Especially given how terrific of a performance car the regular Model S is already in its dual-motor trim.
