In the recent update of google chrome version 79 has a bug of data loss which has been fixed. There was a pop message which saying that to change the password for the respective website which in the sense that your password has been expired. This problem arise especially in India.

The data breach showed that the respective user’s password have exposed .The exact pop showed was “Change your password. A data breach on a site or app exposed your password. Chrome recommends changing your password for the site”.

That pop advised to change their password as soon as possible when you get such message. That too the pop was only popped up to the users living in India. A user reported that he got a pop when he tried to login to a website Freshtohome, which is probably a site to get some fresh and chemical-free sea food to home. And also for some of media employees who tried to login to their portals of their respective companies.

Thus the google stopped rollingout the update and fixed the bug. And then the update was resumed. According to the changelog,”resolves an issue in WebView where some users’ app data was not visible within those apps”.Because Google Developers forget to move the contents of local storage to the Chrome 79 directory that led to the dysfunction of the WebView feature.
